As MWC approaches, Tecno is preparing for a remarkable exhibition this year, with an emphasis on artificial intelligence under the slogan “Create the AI Future.” According to the teaser photo, we should expect four new phones, a laptop, and two smart eyewear. The phones appear to be from the impending Tecno Camon 40 series, while the laptop is most likely a new MegaBook. The two glasses, on the other hand, are “AI glasses” that include built-in displays and microphones, allowing you to employ AI assistants while on the go.
New Tecno Brand Series
According to prior certifications, the Camon 40 Premier will have a huge circular camera module. It will support 70W charging and have 12GB RAM and at least 256GB of storage. The Camon 40 4G will purportedly have a 5100mAh battery capable of 45W charging and a thickness of under 7mm.
The mention of “AI glasses” in the teaser signals Tecno’s foray into wearable technology, which might include gadgets with built-in screens and microphones for seamless interaction with AI helpers. In a significant highlight, Tecno teases the introduction of their ideal Fold Phone Tecno, the Phantom Ultimate 2. The Phantom Ultimate 2 features a 10-inch LTPO OLED display with 1620×2880 resolution and 4:3 aspect ratio, which folds up to a 6.43-inch screen.
Tecno says the Phantom Ultimate 2 is the first foldable smartphone to use TDDI technology, which combines the display driver and touch sensor on a single chip. It also allows screen hovering and is extremely small, measuring only 11mm when folded completely thanks to a self-developed dual hinge mechanism. Tecno tested the complex hinge mechanism for 300,000 folds.
The brand also created the thinnest battery cover on any smartphone, measuring only 0.25 mm. The twin hinges also help to reduce the screen wrinkle in the center of the display. Tecno sees various unusual use cases for the Phantom Ultimate 2, including a laptop form with the bottom half folded and a keyboard for taking notes.
Tent mode divides the display into two equal sections on opposite sides, allowing for smooth dual-screen face-to-face discussions with live translation. This notion could represent a huge step forward in foldable technology. Tecno has not yet announced if they intend to turn this design into a commercial product or just exhibit it as a concept.
