Ahead of CES 2025, Chinese company Koorui has gone one step further by introducing the G7, the first consumer-grade gaming monitor with a refresh rate of 750 Hz. Competitive gaming is its main focus. However, the monitor also represents a major improvement in display technology.
Koorui operates as a division of HKC, a reputable Chinese maker of display panels.
The G7 is a 24.5-inch Full HD (1920×1080) gaming monitor with a TN panel. Its 0.5ms (GtG) response time and remarkable 750Hz refresh rate are noteworthy. The monitor also supports HDR400 and achieves 95% DCI-P3 colour coverage. These features help reduce the typical colour accuracy limitations of TN panels.
Aiming to Exceed the Limits of Gaming Monitor Technology
Although the 750Hz refresh rate represents a significant advancement, its usefulness will probably depend on the use case. Most users may not fully benefit from 750Hz because current hardware often limits frame rates to much lower levels.
Furthermore, most players may notice less of a difference between 500Hz and 750Hz. This is especially true in less demanding gaming situations. Therefore, professional esports gamers and people who want to experience the latest innovations may represent the G7’s primary target market.
The G7 also has several ergonomic features, including tilt, swivel, and height adjustments. Its flicker-free technology and low blue light features can make prolonged gaming sessions more comfortable.
For broad compatibility with modern gaming setups, the monitor includes a headphone jack, three HDMI 2.1 ports, and a DisplayPort 1.4.

Samsung Presents Its Latest Gaming Monitor Ahead of CES 2025
In contrast, Samsung has released two more gaming monitors ahead of CES 2025. These include a 5K ultrawide model and a 37-inch 4K gaming monitor.
Samsung also announced the Odyssey G8, a 27-inch OLED 4K gaming monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate. The company also revealed the Odyssey G6, another 27-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 (QHD) and an industry-leading refresh rate of 500Hz.
The recently announced monitor is the third gaming display that Samsung has unveiled for CES 2025. Now, the Odyssey G7 has joined the lineup. Although each of these displays is fascinating in its own way, the Odyssey G7 seems to be genuinely special.
Unfortunately, as is customary with CES announcements, Samsung did not disclose any information about pricing or release dates. In the weeks leading up to their debut, more information about every Samsung gaming monitor will probably come to light.
